Police Chief sues Village and Mayor

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Village of Cooperstown Police Chief has filed a lawsuit against Village Mayor Joe Booan and the Village itself. According to lawsuits filed in U.S. District Court in Albany and served to each party Wednesday afternoon, Police Chief Diana Nicols was suspended without pay because she publicly spoke about a dispute with the police department's budget.
